What Data Is Processed
METEO Briefing does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to any server operated by the developer. All user preferences (ICAO codes, personal limits, theme setting) are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage on your own device and never leave it.
When you use the application, your browser makes direct requests to third-party weather APIs (KNMI, MET Norway, VATSIM, EHMM Live). Those services may log your IP address in accordance with their own privacy policies. METEO Briefing has no control over, and bears no responsibility for, such logging.
Authentication & Account Data
Access to this application is managed through the WordPress platform at meteobriefing.guusdorenbos.com. Login credentials and session cookies are handled by WordPress. No additional account information is collected by the METEO Briefing application itself.
Legal Basis
Processing of any incidental personal data (e.g. browser-side storage of ICAO codes you enter) is based on your legitimate interest in using the application (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), limited strictly to what is necessary for the functioning of the tool.
Data Retention
Data stored in localStorage persists until you clear your browser data or uninstall the app. No data is retained on any server controlled by the developer.
Your Rights (GDPR Art. 15–21)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Because no personal data is held server-side by the developer, these rights can be exercised locally by clearing your browser storage.

Cookies
